Fundraising.
Fundraising plays an integral role in supporting our school and its programs. All funds raised through your SSPC go directly towards upgrading facilities, equipment, funding student led programs, events and guest speakers.
Currently we are raising funds to replace the wooden play structure that is slated for removal the summer of 2024 as well as upgrade the surrounding play space. The estimated cost for this project is around $300,000, but ultimately the scope and cost of the project will depend on funds raised through fundraisers, donations and grants.
We have currently raised $50,000+ through fundraising campaigns and have received a $50,000+ donation from Westwood Community Child Centre. We are 1/3 of the way to our goal!
Our fundraisers for this year will consist of Pizza Fridays, Dance-a-thons and Cash Raffles.

Pizza Fridays
Every Friday, beginning September 22, 2023, Little Caesars pizza will be available for purchase by the slice. Topping options are pepperoni and cheese or plain cheese. Slices cost $2.50 each; cash only.
Tables are set up in a central location on each floor to limit wait times for students. Parent volunteers are needed to help run this program. If you would like to volunteer for a one or a few Fridays click here.
Super Movie Night

Winter Cash Raffle
Our annual Winter Cash Raffle is back and just in time for the holidays! This raffle is easy to sell and is a great way to raise the much needed funds for our play structure project. In addition to the awesome cash prizes of $1000, $750 and $500, this fundraiser also features great student draws geared towards the whole family!
Early Bird Draw: For every booklet (cash + booklet) handed in by December 15th, 2023, your child will receive a ballot into a draw for VIP Seating (up to 4 people) for you and your family at our Holiday Concerts on December 18 + 19. There will be two draws in total (one for each night). Your student(s) will be entered into the draw for their respective concert night. Winners will be contacted by Parent Council.
Student Prize Draws: For every booklet a student sells they will receive a ballot to be entered into a draw for one of three awesome prizes. The more you sell, the more ballots you receive! Additional booklets can be picked up in the office or requested by emailing Parent Council.

Dance-a-thon
The Sansome School Parent Council is thrilled to bring back our Dance-A-Thon fundraiser! Last year this event raised $8500, making it our most successful fundraising event for the play structure. This years event will be Halloween themed, and take place in the gym on October 31st in the afternoon! We are excited to bring back DJ JPQ who was a hit with the kids last year, he will take song requests the day of as well!
Students can participate by collecting monetary donations to support them dancing for one hour in the gym. This fundraiser is easy, and the kids get to reap all the rewards in this super fun afternoon! To add some friendly competition, every $10 a child raises, they will get a ballot to enter for a chance to win a grand prize gift basket worth $200! As well, the classroom that raises the most, will win a class party!
With these exciting rewards, we hope to motivate students to collect as many pledges as possible to support their school. To ensure accurate tracking of classroom totals, we kindly ask parents to submit only one payment for pledges. Pledges can be made in cash, by cheque, or by e-transfer. This fundraiser is open for all of October, with all money + forms due on October 30th.
